Father Of Girl, 6, Killed In Colorado Shooting Denied Access To Family In Hospital After Making Threats Against Gunman

The father of a six-year-old girl who was killed in the Colorado movie theatre shooting has spoken out about his ordeal. The man claimed he had been thrown out of hospital after he threatened violence against his daughter’s killer. When told that the alleged shooter, PhD dropout James Holmes, was still alive, the unnamed father replied: ‘Hopefully not for long.’
James Holmes is accused of killing 12 people in a massacre at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado
The bereaved man gave an anonymous interview to Fox 31 Denver after a reporter ran into him outside the Aurora Medical Center. He told the reporter his six-year-old daughter had attended a midnight screening of The Dark Night Rises with her mother, his ex-wife, in Aurora on Thursday night.
The pair were caught up in the massacre launched by Holmes, who apparently referred to himself as ‘The Joker’, and were both hospitalised. He rushed to the hospital, where three hours later he was told that his daughter had been killed. At that point, he apparently tried to see his ex-wife, but was not let in to her company because of comments he made which security guards considered threatening.
